Here’s the truth:

I didn’t want to travel.

I didn’t want to leave my home town.
My friends.
My family.

I feared change.
The unknown.
Failure.

I was a homebody.

But my “Prince Charming” at the time knew he wanted to travel-
He had a few friends that graduated prior to him and spoke highly about travel.
And we were pretty seriously dating…

So he proposed (no, not
like that) – he said:
Let’s just try it for 13 weeks and if we don’t like it, we can come home.”

Deal. I figured, I could try anything for 13 weeks.
So off we went, and it’s been the best decision we’ve ever made.

I wanted to share my story in case you are like me: scared, fearful, a homebody.

And in case you needed to hear that it’s still possible, even if you are those things.

When we step outside of our comfort zone, it is there that we grow.
We learn and adapt.

And that is where we live fully.

I wanted to share this in hopes that it might inspire you to step out of your comfort zone and maybe into one of the best decisions of your life too.

Your (once) homebody,

Jess
