Time between Boards and Licensing

  • What should I do with my time between graduation, the NPTE Board Exam, and receiving my License?

To work, or not to work? That is the questions.

My advice is consider this time a gift. You have been in school for 24+ years of your life, not is the time to enjoy this break. There won’t be another time in your life where you will have this time of “nothing.” If you have the opportunity to enjoy it and take a few weeks for yourself, do it. But if you can’t wait to get to work, consider getting your first license in a state with a quick turn around time that might also interest you to travel to. To learn more of the specifics about what states may be a good fit, I recommend speaking with a recommended recruiter who better knows what the market supports currently as well as the state licensure processes.
